Xsquared Architects is pleased to introduce Juliana Ribeiro Nascimento. Juliana is an experienced Graduate, who joined us in February 2022. Having worked in her home country Brazil, and in another Hobart practice, Juliana brings a considered approach to her work and enthusiasm to learn all aspects of architecture.
Juliana moved from Salvador to NSW in 2017, then to Tasmania in 2019 and enjoys the quietness and rhythm of life in Hobart. She particularly loves how easy it is to access the natural environment, where she doesn’t need to go far to be completely silent and surrounded by nature. Juliana feels Hobart has all the amenities of city life but is not big enough to lose its sense of community. Having grown up in a big, busy city, this is something she really values.
For Juliana architecture provides a combination of technical knowledge and creativity that excites her. She believes architecture directly impacts peoples experience of the built environment and this can change lives for the best through designing beautiful, functional and energy-efficient buildings.
Away from work, Juliana can be found at the beach, hiking or camping in the bush, hanging out with friends, or enjoying a movie. Favourite spots include Boronia Beach Kingston and Roaring Beach at Nubeena on the Tasman peninsula.
