Significant Projects

Harriet is a registered architect who commenced her career with Xsquared Architects in early 2019.

After graduating from the University of Tasmania with Bachelor of Environmental Design degrees in both Interior Design and Architecture, Harriet went on to complete a Master of Architecture. Her design skills were recognised by the profession when she won the prestigious Barry McNeill Graduate Prize in 2018, awarded for her final Masters project.

Since joining Xsquared Architects, Harriet has become accomplished at design development and contract documentation on both small and large scale projects. She has taken the interior design lead on the Vibe Hotel and Mixed Use Development, the Co-located Tribunals fitout and the Peacock Centre mental health redevelopment. She was also a key team member in the documentation for the Stone Building Revitalisation and The Workshop and Levee Studios.

Harriet works closely and alongside other team members, and the broader consultant team to create interiors that respond not only to client needs, but also to the broad qualitative aspects of the architecture in which they reside. One of her main skills is the seamless integration between interior and exterior designs while creating unique internal spaces. Harriet enjoys delving into the structural and functional side of spaces while simultaneously applying a bold aesthetic flare. She strives to create designs with beautiful resolution, whatever the brief, particularly if it is challenging.

In 2023 Harriet was awarded the National Association for Women in Construction Tasmania Award for Contribution to Design.  She was appointed as an Associate in 2024.
