Significant Projects

Andrew is a well-respected senior architect in the Tasmanian architectural community, delivering a wide range of building typologies across diverse sectors for over 20 years. He has successfully delivered projects up to $100M in value.

After joining Xsquared Architects in February 2022 as a Senior Architect, Andrew has become a key member of the team and was appointed as an Associate in 2024. He brings his skills and extensive experience to all projects, providing an inclusive, thorough, and professional service.

Andrew performs a client-facing role and leads design and documentation teams within the practice to deliver a wide range of projects. He coordinates inputs from client, consultant, and stakeholder groups, and provides design solutions, code compliance guidance, and drives delivery of construction documentation. During the construction phase, he provides superintendency services to ensure the design intent is brought to realisation.

Working with the project directors, Andrew plans and maintains project timeframes and deliverables, and mentors junior staff on all aspects of project delivery.  He focuses on the broad principles of ‘build small’, reuse and repurpose where possible, and build for flexibility and longevity.

Andrew is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects and served as a Chapter Councillor from 2012-13 and a member of the Continuing Professional Development Committee from 2010-19. He has a strong commitment to continuous improvement and using technology to improve efficiencies.
