The palette of materials has been influenced by the Japanese heritage of the owner, using raw and natural materials, contrasting textures and colours, and enhanced by the careful selection and placement of lighting.
The internal corridor circulation is designed as a ‘street’ connecting the ad hoc geometry of the consulting and treatment rooms generated by the irregular shape of the tenancy area. Patients cross doorway ‘thresholds’ to pass from the public spaces into the private and personal assessment and treatment areas.
