We are pleased to announce Janine Holt has been appointed as our Practice Manager.
Many architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers and some of our clients will know Janine through her senior management roles in the architectural industry over the last 18 years with Liminal Studio and the Australian Institute of Architects.
Prior to relocating to Hobart from Melbourne in 2002, Janine spent over 14 years in various sales, management and training roles for National Mutual which became Axa Australia and associated businesses, including over 5 years as General Manager of the Authorised Representatives Association. Her early career included 5.5 years as a mathematics and history teacher at secondary schools in Upwey and Monbulk, located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges area of Victoria.
Her wealth of experience in all aspects of business management will help fine-tune our quality assurance processes, striving for continuous improvement to propel our growth and development. Janine believes that efficiencies can be gained by examining processes, policies and procedures and looking at how best practice can be implemented to improve productivity and profitability. Janine will also assist the directors with the financial, people, compliance, marketing and procurement aspects of the practice.
Away from the office, Janine can often be found at under 14 football or cricket games either loudly barracking for her son, or volunteering as a parent helper with scoring, ground manager or canteen duties. She loves to keep fit at the gym, learning karate, walking or bike riding and enjoys camping and bushwalking. Janine winds down by reading, tackling cryptic crosswords and hard Sudoko puzzles.
Janine’s experience, both in business and through her sporting interests, has taught her about the power of teamwork and she fully believes in the adage ‘TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More’. She believes culture has a vital impact on performance and will work with the Directors to develop our vision for the practice.
We welcome Janine to Xsquared Architects.
