The Vibe Hotel and mixed use project at 36 Argyle Street, Hobart is an exciting development in the heart of the Hobart CBD.
The Completed development will consist of a ground floor restaurant and entry foyer, a four level podium suitable for offices or medical consulting rooms, and a 114 room hotel and seven serviced apartments over nine floors. The design configuration is complex and challenging resulting in a striking and dramatic facade with single and double floor height random vertical panels which will be a significant addition to the Hobart skyline.
The first floor level includes a portion cantilevered over Argyle Street and features ‘ribbon’ architectural fenestration which enlivens and enriches the streetscape.
In a step into the future for the Hobart construction industry, a range of prefabricated “pod” bathrooms have been constructed and installed in the building as it has been constructed. These offer significant time and cost savings during construction and allow for far greater quality control than on site construction. The hotel also features a 25m lap pool with views over the City and a range of other high end facilities for guests.
