Xsquared Architects Director Keith Drew appointed as the National Convener of the Architectural Practice Examinations (APE).
Keith Drew, a former State President of the Australian Institute of Architects (Tasmanian Chapter) and long time participant in many practice related professional activities has been State Convener (Tasmania) for the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) since 2007, and has now been promoted to the role of National Convener of the APE.
The AACA administers the APE on behalf of the Board of Architects of Tasmania. All architects wishing to offer professional services using the prescribed title ‘Architect’ must be registered by the Board, having demonstrated they have graduated with a recognised tertiary qualification and have acquired a minimum standard of professional practice competency.
Keith’s new role is to consult with and coordinate all State and Territory Convenors to ensure the process is consistent across Australia.
