Xsquared Architects have been successful in a competitive Request For Tender (RFT) to provide consultancy services for the design and procurement the proposed new helipad for the Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) in Latrobe.
The Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) engaged Xsquared Architects in 2016 to undertake a preliminary feasibility assessment for the preferred location of the proposed raised helipad following the successful completion of a similar project at the North-West Regional Hospital in Burnie Tasmania.
For the Burnie helipad Xsquared Architects worked closely with the DHHS, hospital representatives, and specialist consultants in aviation, acoustics, surveying, and planning to address the many complex issues arising from this interesting and challenging project.
Our response to the RFT proposed exactly the same team who delivered the Burnie helipad due to the enormous experience gained from that project, and these skills were obviously recognised by the client.
We look forward to working on this exciting project over the next few months!
