Xsquared Architects have expanded their leadership team with the appointment of Alex Newman as a Director.
Alex trained and undertook his early career in England, with over ten years experience working on a variety of projects ranging from multi-residential housing to high profile boutique retail. He then emigrated and joined Xsquared Architects where he has been for ten years.
During this last decade he has had a lead role on some of the Practice’s most complex and challenging projects. These include being project architect on the Hobart Ibis Styles Hotel, the Risdon Prison PIRP D1 infrastructure project, the Hopkins Street Affordable Housing project, the Lands Building Refurbishment, and, most recently, the Austin’s Ferry Primary School Redevelopment.
He is a strong believer in good communication and in an iterative design process where the skills of all project members are harnessed to deliver the best possible project overcomes for clients. As noted above, Alex has extensive multi-residential, office fitout and correctional architectural experience. He prides himself on building great client relationships on every project.
